Teaching How to Play Baccarat

The jack, queen and king are valued at ten points and the ace has the face value of one point.

The next thing you should be teaching to your student about Baccarat is the actual goal of the game. Baccarat actually means zero, and the game revolves around not getting a zero. In order to win in Baccarat, you must have a face card value of nine or eight points in order to win. If you reach ten points, you automatically go back to zero, so for example 11 points in your hand an equivalent to 1 point because you are set back to zero.

You should also be teaching to your pupil how the betting system works in Baccarat. In a casino you will find three dealers but you only play against one. In a usual Baccarat game you only have three betting choices; you can bet on your own hand, you can bet on the dealer's hand, or you can bet on a tie. The latter is fairly uncommon and should be eliminated while you are teaching your student how to play Baccarat.
